The error rates \(e_0\) and \(e_1\) as a function of the threshold \(\theta \). We use the same sequences and structures as described in Fig. 5. When the signature distance is smaller than \(\theta \), we predict that bases i and j are paired, otherwise they are unpaired. The error rates \(e_0\) and \(e_1\) are given by the false omission rate (FOR) and false discovery rate (FDR), respectively
